How to enable out-of-process mode in ReSharper

Problem

Performance problems upon opening Visual Studio with ReSharper enabled, such as visual delays, general slow downs and so on.

Resolution

Try the new Out-of-Process mode available in ReSharper 2025.2 to address performance issues. This mode potentially improves performance by relocating the analysis processes out of Visual Studio, thereby reducing the resource contention within the IDE itself.

Follow these steps to enable it:

1. Install the latest ReSharper version.
2. Launch Visual Studio.
3. Switch mode via Extensions | ReSharper | R# Out-of-Process | Switch to Out-of-Process Mode.
