Issue
A user has a global organization role, but after signing in to JetBrains Console:
- the sidebar is empty;
- the organization name is displayed incorrectly;
- the expected organization navigation or actions are not available.
Example:
Cause
This behavior can occur when access to JetBrains Cloud services is blocked or filtered by a company network, proxy, VPN, firewall, traffic inspection tool, or device-level security configuration.
Even if the user has the correct organization role, JetBrains Console may not be able to load the required organization data if requests to JetBrains Cloud endpoints are restricted.
Resolution
Ask the user to check whether the issue is related to their network or device configuration.
-
Refresh the JetBrains Console page and confirm that the issue is reproducible.
-
Try accessing JetBrains Console from a different network and device. If JetBrains Console works correctly from another network or device, the issue is likely caused by the company network, VPN, proxy, firewall, or endpoint security configuration.
-
Contact the company IT or security team
Ask the IT or security team to check whether access is restricted for:
console.jetbrains.cloudapi.jetbrains.cloudjetbrains.cloud
Restrictions may be related to:
- firewall rules;
- proxy configuration;
- VPN routing;
- DNS filtering;
- TLS/SSL inspection;
- traffic filtering;
- endpoint/device security policies.
-
Ask the IT or security team to allow access to JetBrains Cloud services required by JetBrains Console.
