Problem
AI Assistant in ReSharper does not authorize, or it shows an "out of volume" message, although the JetBrains AI quota is not used up.
Resolution
Install the latest ReSharper version. If the update is not possible or the problem stays, reset the JetBrains Account and JetBrains AI settings:
- In Visual Studio, select (Extensions) | ReSharper | Navigate | Go to Action.
- Run the
/internal Reset JetBrains Account and JetBrains AI settingscommand. The current Visual Studio instance restarts. - After the restart, open (Extensions) | ReSharper | Help | License Information.
- Log in to the JetBrains Account.
- Open AI Assistant and click the Login, Connect, or Retry button.
If the reset does not help
Collect a log file for the support team:
- Select (Extensions) | ReSharper | Navigate | Go to Action.
- Type
logger /all. - In the Logger Configuration window, select the AI trace scenario. If there is no AI scenario, enter
JetBrains.ReSharper.AIin the Custom namespace tracing field. - Select the Licensing trace scenario.
- Reproduce the problem.
- Get the log file. Its location is at the top of the Logger Configuration window.
- Disable the trace scenarios.
Send the log file through (Extensions) | ReSharper | Help | Report a bug or Submit a Feedback, or through the Contact support button on this page.
