How to to increase memory usage limit for ReSharper TestRunner process?

The ReSharper TestRunner process is only using a limited size of memory even though I have a RunConfiguration entry in my .runsettings file with the HeapSize set to a bigger size. Please advise how to get ReSharper to use 4GB for the ReSharper TestRunner process.

Answer

TesRunner memory usage can be increased by following the steps:

1. start VS Tools | Command line | Developer Command Line and run the following command: editbin /LARGEADDRESSAWARE <path_to_runner_exe\ReSharperTestRunner.exe> 

2. opening path_to_runner_exe.config and commenting out <gcServer enabled="true" />

The easiest way to get the path to the exe is by running a test and checking the output in Output tab. Among other information, there will be a path to the started runner.

Please note that even after those changes, the runner still cannot consume more memory than the VS runner does.
