Unable to navigate to Visual Studio editor from dotMemory or dotTrace profiler

Symptoms

When trying to use Navigate to Type Declaration in dotMemory or dotTrace, the profiler shows a message "Unable to navigate to <project_name>. Probably, the IDE requires your attention in a modal dialog" and Visual Studio becomes unresponsive.

Resolution

After VS becomes unresponsive, cycle through existing windows (Alt+Tab) and find the "Choose default navigation action for compiled code" window and pick one of the options.
