Problems with StyleCop by JetBrains plugin for ReSharper

Problem

1. Visual Studio freezes and performance issues when StyleCop plugin is installed
2. Latest C# laguage versions features are not recognized by StyleCop plugin. E.g.: [Stylecop rule: SA0102] could be erroneously shown on:

• Properties with required:

public required string Name { get; init; }

• Properties with init:

public Guid Id { get; init; }

• The use of await using :

await using var resource = new Resource();

Cause

Unfortunately, StyleCop extension is deprecated and won't receive any updates (due to the discontinuation of the original StyleCop project).

Resolution

We don't recommend using StyleCop plugin with the latest versions of Visual Studio and/or C# language versions. Please visit StyleCop repository for further considerations.
