Why are dotTrace and dotMemory installed by default upon installing ReSharper?

After installing ReSharper, it was found that dotTrace and dotMemory were also installed, but the available license doesn't include these products. Why are dotTrace and dotMemory installed by default with ReSharper?

Answer

Not all ReSharper features related to performance, memory profiling, and code coverage require a license. Performance and memory data collection is available with a ReSharper license. If this functionality is not needed, it might be disabled on the Products & Features page. Additionally, we offer a Monitoring feature within ReSharper that relies on dotTrace. As our products are interconnected, it is appropriate to preinstall both dotTrace and dotMemory. This integration primarily justifies the default installation of the products.
