Handling .slnx DotSettings Files Compatibility

Do I need to rename .sln.DotSettings and .sln.DotSettings.user files to .slnx.DotSettings when saving a .sln file as .slnx in ReSharper?

Answer

ReSharper currently still uses SolutionName.sln.DotSettings and SolutionName.sln.DotSettings.user files even when the solution itself is saved as .slnx. It will continue creating and utilizing .sln-prefixed settings files for .slnx solutions.

Therefore, renaming the .sln-prefixed settings files to .slnx-prefixed files is unnecessary. The manually created SolutionName.slnx.DotSettings (.user) will be ignored
