How to get project model dumps for ReSharper's project model problems

Support asked for project model dumps. How to collect them?

Answer

1. Check that the Read solution model directly from project/solution files option is disabled; if the out-of-process mode is enabled, this option cannot be disabled.
2. Open the problematic solution and wait until the issue is reproduced
3. Select (Extensions) | ReSharper | Navigate | Go to Action;
4. Type /all dump project model, execute it and save the result file as "Dump Project Model Option Disabled.txt";
5. There are two options:
   • in out-of-process mode: Extensions | ReSharper | R# Out-of-Process | Repair Out-of-Process Mode.
   • in in-process mode: open ReSharper | Options | Environment | General and enable the Read solution model.. option or
6. Wait for a while ReSharper reanalyzes the solution;
7. Select (Extensions) | ReSharper | Navigate | Go to Action;
8. Type /all dump project model, execute it and save the result file as "Dump Project Model Option Enabled.txt".
9. Save both the files;
10. Upload files to the JetBrains Uploads service and share the generated Upload ID
