Why does ReSharper Intellisense require double-click to select item

Problem

In ReSharper version 2025.3, selecting an item from the Intellisense menu now requires a double-click instead of the previous behavior where a single click would close the menu and add the selected item to the editor.

Cause

It should be possible to change the selection in the lookup list using only the mouse so that the summary tooltip updates for the currently selected item (allowing viewing of documentation or checking overloads). Previously (in 2025.2.4), this was not possible with the mouse, as clicking would accept the item. Also, the new behavior aligns ReSharper with both Visual Studio and IntelliJ IDEs.

Resolution

Unfortunately, there is no option to revert the behavior to the previous single-click selection mode.
