Does the Tools | Import and Export Settings option in Visual Studio manage both Visual Studio and ReSharper settings?

Answer

The Tools | Import and Export Settings option in Visual Studio only manages Visual Studio settings. ReSharper settings are managed separately.

To export both Visual Studio and ReSharper settings, follow these steps:

• Visual Studio settings: go to Tools | Import and Export Settings and use the provided wizard to save or load your desired settings.
• ReSharper settings:
  1. Go to ReSharper | Manage Options,
  2. select Export to File within the context menu of each configuration layer.
