Question
How to collect additional information for the support team if switching branches causes ReSharper to show red code?
Answer
Sharing the diagnostic information as described below would be very helpful:
-
select (Extensions) | ReSharper | Navigate | Go to Action;
-
type
logger /all -
select
Logger Configuration...; -
select
Caches,Files,Daemon,Project Model Update & SearchandFile System Trackertrace scenarios; -
run Visual Studio with
/ReSharper.Internalkey to start ReSharper in debug mode; -
reproduce the issue or wait until it happens again;
-
take a screenshot similar to this one showing the Errors/Warnings in Solution window with errors, as well as the errors in the editor:
-
set the caret on the unresolved symbol and execute
TraceUnresolvedErrorActionaction available in ( Extensions ) | ReSharper | Internal | PSI | Trace false unresolved error; -
provide the log file (its location is specified at the top of Logger Configuration tool window). If the log file is large, please upload it to our JB server and share the Upload ID with us.
-
select (Extensions) | ReSharper | Navigate | Go to Action;
-
type
logger /all -
select
Logger Configuration...; -
disable
Caches,Files,Daemon,Project Model Update & SearchandFile System Trackertrace scenarios.
