Background/Situation
When using the CreatedAtAction method in an ASP.NET Core Controller, the method is highlighted in red by ReSharper as if there was an error despite the code compiling and functioning correctly. However, Visual Studio itself does not display an error message, and when ReSharper is suspended, the highlighting disappears completely.
Question
How to change the highlighting color for ASP.NET components?
Answer
To configure the highlighting color:
- navigate to Tools | Options | Environment | Fonts and Colors in Visual Studio;
- scroll down to ReSharper ASP.NET MVC
- adjust the Item foreground color (and Item background, if needed) to the preferred values.
