Question
When the quota runs out, cloud-based AI features become temporarily unavailable until the next monthly reset.
How can one switch between multiple AI licenses in ReSharper?
Answer
There isn't a built-in option for this yet (feature request: Add an option to switch to another license once the current one is out of quota Add an option to switch to another license once the current one is out of quota), but there is a workaround that can help in some cases.
To switch between multiple AI licenses in ReSharper, follow these steps:
-
Open the License Information dialog via the menu path: Extensions | ReSharper | Help | License Information.
-
If logged in with a JetBrains Account, click the wrench icon located to the right of the Use JB Account line.
-
Within this interface, manage available licenses by enabling or disabling them using the checkboxes.
For example, there are two checkboxes on the screenshot: the top one is for the All Products Pack license (with AI Pro included), the bottom one is for the AI Ultimate license. The bottom checkbox can be unchecked to use only the AI Pro license from the All Products Pack license.
If there is only one license in the dialog box, and there should be more, try to log out and then log in to JetBrains Account.
