Using the production server license in the testing environment

Is it possible to use the same license on the production server and testing server at the same time?

Answer

No, a single license can only be used on a single running TeamCity server at any given time. A separate license must be obtained for a testing environment.

For testing upgrades or new features, a trial license can be used.
