Many developers use IntelliJ Community at work, which is why there is a concern as to whether the «free community license» is affected by the change in Terms of Use related to data sharing.

When using IntelliJ Community, is the data collection enabled by default?
Answer
No, Community licenses are NOT AFFECTED. Data collection is disabled for them and can’t be enabled.
Only users of free non-commercial licenses are affected. For them, new terms of detailed data collection will be explicitly explained in the Terms of Use and in the IDE by means of a notification, when they activate the license.
