Problem
Recurring error logs such as:
Failed to notify AiPlatformLicenseListenerFailed to put event about license update to the queue: listener=AiPlatformLicenseListener, result=FAIL_CANCELLED
These errors are generated despite AI services not being actively used.
Cause
The errors are related to an internal component that handles licenses for AI features (JetBrains AI/AI Enterprise) in IDE Services. Even when AI features are not in use, the system still reacts to license updates and logs errors unnecessarily.
Resolution
-
Confirm whether the AI Enterprise feature is disabled in your IDE Services server.
-
If the frequent error messages interfere with monitoring, reduce their verbosity by adjusting the logging configuration in your IDE Services setup. Update your
application.ymlorvalues.ymlfile to lower the log level of the respective packages:logging: level: root: DEBUG com.jetbrains.tbe.server.ai: WARN com.jetbrains.tbe.server.license: WARNFor more information: Advanced Logging
-
Note that these error logs do not affect core functionalities like License Vault or IDE usage. It is safe to continue using the server while the behavior of the listener is being improved in future updates by JetBrains.
-
Ensure that your IDE Services server is in the latest version.
For further concerns, monitor and provide logs with "DEBUG" level enabled if needed for additional debugging: Change the application's logging level.
