Podman Container Cannot Resolve 'plugins.jetbrains.com' Through Configured Proxy – Support | JetBrains

Problem

When attempting to start and use the IDE Services server (2026.0.0.9939) in a Podman container configured with a proxy, the following error occurs:

io.netty.resolver.dns.DnsResolveContext$SearchDomainUnknownHostException: Failed to resolve 'plugins.jetbrains.com'
Caused by: DnsErrorCauseException: Query failed with NXDOMAIN

The JetBrains plugin marketplace endpoint plugins.jetbrains.com has whitelisted in the proxy. However, in the server configuration, neither Spring Gateway spring.cloud.gateway.server.webflux.httpclient.proxy.* nor JVM proxy settings -Dhttp.proxyHost, -Dhttp.proxyPort, -Dhttps.proxyHost, -Dhttps.proxyPort, -Dhttp.nonProxyHosts of IDE Services proxied plugins.jetbrains.com.

Resolution

Upgrade IDE Services server to version 2026.0.1 (or later) that contains the fix of this issue.

Additionally, double-check again that the necessary JetBrains domains are whitelisted in the proxy/firewall settings as outlined in the JetBrains network access requirements.
