The locations of webhook parameters

The documentation describes parameters that need to be added to enable TeamCity webhooks. Is there a requirement for where these parameters should be added?

Answer

1. The main parameters required to enable webhooks are teamcity.internal.webhooks.enable=true and teamcity.internal.webhooks.url=<URL>. These parameters need to be set in the Root project (Administration > Root project > Parameters).
2. If the service that listens to TeamCity webhooks requires authentication, the authentication parameters teamcity.internal.webhooks.username and teamcity.internal.webhooks.password need to be set in the Root project as well.
3. The parameter teamcity.internal.webhooks.events, which defines the list of events that trigger the webhook, can be set either at the Root project level (to make webhooks be triggered by events in all projects) or only on the projects whose events should trigger the webhook.
