CVE-2026-44413 Security Fix Installation Error in TeamCity

Problem

Affected versions: 2025.11.4 and older.

An error occurs when attempting to install the CVE-2026-44413 security fix update on a pre-2025.11.5 TeamCity version:

File (<data_dir>/system/caches/pluginUpdates/fix_CVE_2026_44413_1.0.3) does not exist.

Cause

The issue is purely cosmetic. It is caused by the bug TW-87045. It occurs when clicking the Activate... button more than once. The first activation attempt correctly installs the CVE fix plugin, but doesn't remove or change the Activate... button. The subsequent activation attempts result in the display of the error message.

Resolution

Option 1

1. Go to Administration | Plugins, and confirm the CVE-2026-44413 plugin is installed.
2. Ignore the error message.

Option 2

Upgrade TeamCity to version 2025.11.5 or newer.
