Effect of the number of commits or pushes for committers on build resources

Question

Are commits or pushes for committers counted? Are they affecting available build resources?

Answer

No. TeamCity supports many VCS systems, including Git, Mercurial, Subversion, and more. Not all of them share the same concepts or have “pushes”.

For this reason, and others, TeamCity doesn’t track pushes and uses commits, or more specifically, “changes” in TeamCity to define individual committers and authored VCS changes.
