What is Junie EAP?

Junie EAP (Early Access Program) is Junie’s early-access track that allows a limited group of users to try new features before they are released in the stable version and to provide feedback during active development.

Junie EAP stages

Junie IDE EAP originally launched in winter 2025, before Junie became generally available with IDE version 2025.1.

After GA (General Availability), Junie is no longer an EAP-only product, but early-access builds remain available.

Junie EAP after GA

Users can install the Junie EAP build from the JetBrains Marketplace under the JUNIEEAP tab.

These builds include upcoming features that will appear in the stable version later. Access is restricted and requires a Junie Pro EAP license, which is a free license provided for early-access participants.

EAP builds also include enhanced logging, which helps the Junie team improve the plugin before the wider release.

Junie Early Birds

After Junie reached GA, the original EAP program evolved into Junie Early Birds — a program for Junie’s most active users who receive continued early access and closer collaboration with the Junie team.

Note: Enrollment in the Early Birds program is currently paused.

Junie Early Birds receive:
