Linux: AI Assistant logs out and requires password from keyring - An application wants access to the keyring "Default" but it is locked

Problem

On Linux, AI Assistant logs out automatically and shows the "Start Using AI Assistant" button.

At the same time appears a window asking to enter the password:

Enter password to unlock

An application wants access to the keyring "Default", but it is locked

Cause

The root cause is similar to that described in the article On IntelliJ IDE start - prompt asking access to JB_AI_PLATFORM_TOKEN is shown

Resolution

Use one of two options:

• Provide the password
• In Settings > Appearance & Behavior > System Settings > Passwords > select the In KeePass option. In this case IDE will not require any password to be provided by the user – since the default (embedded) keychain will be used.
