Option 1

Use macOS System Settings: go to Desktop & Dock > Windows and set "Prefer tabs when opening documents" - "Never" or "Full screen"

Option 2

Disable "Project as tabs" on IDE level

• Shift+Shift, then type "Registry" to open Registry
• Disable key "ide.mac.bigsur.window.with.tabs.enabled"
