How to add a customized app for files to open inside IntelliJ IDE

Question

The default options in Open In menu in right-click context menu are not the desired ones, how to add customized app into Open In menu?

Answer

The list of Open In may not get modified. Use External Tools to include a customized app for opening files.

Please go to Settings | Tools | External Tools, and add desired application here:

After saving the configuration, when right-clicking the file, there will be "External Tool" in the context, and saved tools are listed here:
