Updating the IntelliJ IDEA from "Help | Check for Updates" updates not to the latest available stable build

Problem

Updating the IntelliJ IDEA from version 2022.3.2 updates to the 2022.3.3, not to the latest 2024.2:

Solution

If an old IntelliJ IDEA build is used, and Check for Updates... action is performed, there is a chance that there is no a single patch update between a current IDE installation and the latest one.

Download and install the latest build manually from https://www.jetbrains.com/idea/download. All IDE settings should be preserved automatically
