Why is FLCC(Full Line Code Completion) not supported on my device? There is the below warning when trying to enable FLCC.

Warning Message:

As your device is currently not supported or there are issues with Full Line execution, you may not see suggestions. Please contact customer support

Answer

FLCC feature requires the CPU to support AVX2 (the same is stated in the Full Line Code Completion documentation).

If you can't enable FLCC on your device, probably it is because the device's CPU doesn't support AVX2.

Note: A notification message will be improved in Full Line completion: Check and warn about the missing AVX2.

How to confirm

Use Intel 13700K CPU as an example, find it from Intel official product specification page, you will find AVX2 from the Instruction Set Extensions.

If you can't find AVX2 from the page, it means the given CPU doesn't support AVX2. This theory applies to all Intellij-based IDEs so far.
