What is the difference between IDE theme and color scheme?

IDE theme

IDE theme is overall IDE appearance.

Here are the main elements that are controlled by the IDE theme:

• Window title

• Tool windows and tool window stripes

• Status bar

• Context menu

• Popup windows, tooltips and balloons

  The default IDE theme is Dark.

  How to change

  To change it, go to "Settings | Appearance & Behavior | Appearance | Theme"

Editor color scheme

Editor color scheme controls code editor text colors and appearance. Most developers use the Editor color scheme corresponding to the IDE theme, but to see the difference: In this image, the Editor color scheme is Light while the IDE theme is dark
