What is the purpose of MIME files in JetBrains IDE? What MIME types are used by JetBrains IDEs?

Background

A media type (also known as a Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions or MIME type) indicates the nature and format of a document, file, or assortment of bytes. MIME type list can be found here.

Organization security rules can be set against MIME type. If a security rule is set to drop network frame with a certain MIME type, then the users wouldn't be able to receive this kind of data, and any feature relies on this kind of data would fail.
