Problem
When using IntelliJ IDEA versions 2025.1 and 2024.3 with command-line shortening options such as @argfile, manifest JAR, or classpath file, Windows paths specified in -D JVM options (e.g., C:/path/to/dir) become corrupted. This results in failed builds or tests due to incorrect path handling, such as misinterpreted characters (e.g., \t being converted to a tab).
For example, the path C:/path/to/dir becomes C:pathtodir
Cause
The issue does not inherently occur in IntelliJ IDEA core functionality but can arise due to certain plugins, configurations or environmental factors influencing the interpretation of path arguments. Specifically, it has been identified in conjunction with the "SAP Commerce Plugin for IntelliJ IDEA".

Resolution
- Disable SAP Commerce Plugin
- Or update the plugin version to 2025.1.2 or above.
