Location of window positioning data

InteliiJ IDE saves position of popup and tool windows per project basis. Where is this data stored?

Answer

The data is in {project_id}.xml file, located in "workspace" folder of your IntelliJ config folder.

The project_id is a unique alphanumeric code. The easiest way to find out the project_id of the current project is to open the project, then change something in it's window layout (for example, press Shift+Shift and move "Search everywhere" popup) and check, which {project_id}.xml file was updated recently.
