Terminal: Copy doesn’t work

Problem

Copying in Claude Code or another CLI coding agent running in the integrated Terminal doesn’t work. The Copy action is greyed out.

Resolution

This can happen if Claude Code CLI is launched in Fullscreen mode. It changes how the CLI renders to the terminal and captures mouse events. So Terminal doesn't "know" about selected text, and the Copy action is disabled.

There are several approaches in this case:

1. Use the Copy on select feature in Claude Code CLI
2. With Copy on select off, use the Ctrl+Shift+C instead of Ctrl+C to copy manually
3. Change the rendering mode to the default, for example, in the Cluade Code CLI using the /tui command
