Question:
I have a fallback license which is bound to version 2026.1. Can I still use the version 2025.3?
Answer:
If you received a fallback license after a year of using your subscription, it means you can use all versions you were entitled for in that period. This means 2025.2, 2025.3 and 2026.1
More details:
If you subscribe to a JetBrains IDE for 12 consecutive months, you receive a perpetual fallback license for the latest major version that was available when your subscription started.
For example, if you purchase an IntelliJ IDEA subscription for one year and the latest available version at the time you purchase the subscription is 2026.1, you will receive a perpetual fallback license for version 2026.1.
During your subscription, you can use any newer versions of that JetBrains IDE released while your subscription is active. After your subscription ends, your perpetual fallback license allows you to continue using your fallback version and any earlier versions, such as 2026.1 and 2025.3.
