Question
Whether technical support and defect fixes are available when using a perpetual fallback license after a JetBrains subscription expires.
Answer
Technical support and defect removal rights are tied to an active subscription and do not extend to fallback license usage.
For an overview of what a fallback license is, which version it grants, and eligibility requirements, see What is a perpetual fallback license, and how do I use one?
What is not included
Using a fallback license after subscription expiration does not include:
- Technical support via JetBrains support channels
- Defect removal requests — the right to request a defect fix exists only during an active subscription period, per JetBrains Commitment to Consumers, section (f)
- Access to newer versions released after expiration
- Bug fixes for issues not yet patched at the time of expiration
Per the Toolbox Subscription Agreement, JetBrains makes no warranty regarding the provision of support services, and support obligations do not survive subscription termination.
To regain full support coverage
Renewing the subscription restores access to the latest product versions, technical support, defect removal rights, and future updates. Subscriptions can be renewed via JetBrains Account.
