Git clone: Failed to connect to github.com port 443

Problem

Cloning a project from github.com fails with the error message:

Failed to connect to github.com port 443 after 21041 ms: Couldn't connect to server

Following line is shown in the idea.log file:

INFO - #git4idea.commands.GitHandler - fatal: unable to access '<repository_url>': Failed to connect to github.com port 443 after 21041 ms: Couldn't connect to server

Cause

The issue is related to the proxy settings. The git client may be unable to connect to the server because the HTTP proxy is not properly configured.

Resolution

Configure the Git proxy settings by running the following command in the terminal:
```
git config --global http.proxy http://Proxy-Name:port
```
Replace Proxy-Name and port with the appropriate proxy details for your environment.

After completing these steps, the project cloning operation should proceed without issues.
