SSH Authentication: Git push fails with prompt to login to GitHub

Problem

While using valid SSH keys to authenticate to Git repository on GitHub, push operation from the IDE fails with the following dialog:

Login to GitHub / Credentials will not be saved for future use

SSH keys (private/public) are available in the ~/.ssh directory and should be used by IDE for authentication to the remote repository.

Resolution

Check the main menu - Git > Manage Remotes.. and make sure the remote repository URL is using ssh:// protocol and not https://.
