External display blanking on launch of IntelliJ IDE

Problem

The external display blanks out randomly when launching IntelliJ IDE on macOS. The problem persists across other systems, including a Linux machine, and is linked to the specific display connection and refresh rate setup.

Resolution

• Trying an alternative type of cable or connection (e.g., HDMI instead of DP)
• Additionally, check and adjust the refresh rate of the monitor.
