Not able to easily set an upstream git branch using the UI

Problem

Users may face difficulty in directly selecting or modifying an upstream branch for their Git repository using the IDE UI as this functionality is not directly provided via a menu or the action search tool.

Cause

Currently, the ability to explicitly select or set an upstream branch through a dedicated UI action is not available within IntelliJ IDEA.

Resolution

To set or modify the upstream branch, there is an alternative approach:

Use the Push dialog to modify or adjust the upstream branch settings.
