Question
While reviewing a pull request, your PC may suddenly crash or restart. This can cause you to lose track of which files you have already reviewed and which ones are still left. How can you manually or automatically mark specific files as reviewed in a pull request?
Answer
- Use the 'viewed' notification: Files are marked with a visual indicator (a blue dot) showing their viewed state. If the blue dot is showing, the file has not been viewed. If it disappears, the file has already been reviewed.
- The visual indicator (blue dot) remains visible until you explicitly mark the file as viewed using the checkbox in the changes tree (available on hover). You can also toggle the viewed state using the Toggle viewed/not viewed state action (
Ctrl+Shift+Son Windows and Linux,Cmd+Shift+Son macOS).
