Unexpected hyerogliphic (Chinese, Japanese or Korean) language in Remote Connection

Problem

In a remote development session using IntelliJ IDE, settings and menu items in the client's GUI are shown in Asian languages (Chinese, Japanese, Korean) instead of the English.

Cause

RemDev client for 2024.1 is localized after importing settings from 2024.2 if language plugins had updates. If there is an IDE version 2024.2 and above installed on the local machine, and a lower IDE version is used on the remote host, it can lead to language inconsistency in the JetBrains Client during the remote session.

Resolution

Update your remote IDE to the recent version or try applying the workaround described in RemDev client for 2024.1 is localized after importing settings from 2024.2 if language plugins had updates.
