How to generate a consolidated report and report for each solution and methods from the command line?

Answer

If the solution has several executables/entry-points/etc. , it is possible to do the following from the command line:

1. run coverage analysis for each entry point separately, e.g. with cover or cover-dotnet commands. important to note that --report-type parameter shouldn't be specified, this way the output will be a binary .dcvr file, which contains all of the information available, and can be a source for further reports
2. generate individual reports for every .dcvr file with the report command
3. merge .dcvr files with the merge command in order to get the consolidated data
4. generate consolidated report from the .dcvr file obtained from the previous step
