After TeamCity update to 2025.11.1 the %teamcity.pullRequest.source.branch% and %teamcity.pullRequest.target.branch% parameters return incorrect or empty value

Symptoms

Confirmed affected versions: 2025.11.1

• TeamCity was updated to 2025.11.1.
• The affected build configuration has the Pull Requests build feature enabled.
• A Pull Request is created, and the build is triggered on it.
• The %teamcity.pullRequest.source.branch% and %teamcity.pullRequest.target.branch% parameters don't reflect the source and target branches correctly. These parameters are empty or incorrect.
• These parameters were functioning as expected prior to the update.

Cause

The build configuration has the configuration parameters with the same names defined in Build Configuration Settings > Parameters. The values of these defined parameters override the values provided by the Pull Requests build feature.

Resolution

Workaround 1

Deleting the parameters defined in Build Configuration Settings > Parameters should resolve this issue.

Workaround 2

Specify teamcity.pullRequests.parametersProvider.enabled=false internal property in Administration > Diagnostics > Internal properties. Server restart is not required.
