Changing the build number of the running build

Is it possible to change the build number of the running build? For example, from the build itself, or from another service.

Answer

Yes. To change the build number of the running build, the following REST API request may be used:

PUT /app/rest/builds/<BuildId>/number

The request body should include the new build number. The body format is plain text.

This will change the build number of the already running build.
