Questions
Is it possible to check the current status of TeamCity Cloud or a specific TeamCity Cloud instance, as well as the maintenance schedule? How will customers be notified of new updates and potential requirements that require manual action from them?
Answer
Current Status of a TeamCity Cloud instance
There is currently no dedicated page for the statuses or maintenance schedule of TeamCity Cloud and its instances.
Maintenance Schedule / Custom Service Window
To ensure the security, stability, and optimal performance of the platform, updates across TeamCity Cloud are automated and applied globally rather than on an individual, per-instance schedule. Because of this, we are unable to offer custom or user-defined service windows. However, we design our deployment process to be highly optimized. Routine updates shouldn't cause a full hard outage; they typically result in a few minutes of limited access, ensuring your data remains safe and accessible while the update finishes.
Notifications about updates
• Routine Updates & Minor Fixes: For minor, non-disruptive improvements, we publish updates post-factum through our "What's New" section and official changelogs.
• Major Updates & Scheduled Downtime: For any major infrastructure updates, potential breaking changes, or cases where extended downtime is expected, we will notify affected clients well in advance via email so you can plan accordingly.
• If an upcoming update requires any proactive changes on your end—such as adjustments to your Kotlin DSL code or specific build agent configurations — the advance email notification will explicitly detail these requirements along with a reasonable timeline to ensure your team has adequate time to prepare.
