Installing custom software to the JetBrains-hosted build agents

Is it possible to install custom software, or software not available on the JetBrains-hosted build agents?

Answer

JetBrains-hosted build agents come with a set of frequently used build software pre-installed. The documentation provides the full list of pre-installed software.

If there is a need for additional software, there are the following options:

• The build steps can be executed in Docker containers.
• The software may be installed via the Command Line (or PowerShell) build step at the beginning of the build.
• Self-hosted build agents may be used to run builds that require any software.
