What types of build agents are available in TeamCity Cloud?

- JetBrains-hosted build agents. Ready-to-use Windows, Linux, and macOS build agents with pre-installed software. Each minute of build time on JetBrains-hosted agents will expend a certain number of build credits. The exact rate depends on the build agent instance type. It is also possible to prepay one or more JetBrains-hosted agents monthly. JetBrains-hosted agents don't require maintenance, are always ready to use, and cover most usage scenarios.
- Self-hosted build agents. These agents may be bare-metal or self-hosted in cloud environments. In the case of self-hosted agents, build time is not counted. Instead, an extra slot for each concurrent build running on a self-hosted agent needs to be purchased. For example, if three concurrent build slots monthly are purchased, it would be possible to run up to three builds on self-hosted agents at each moment of time during this month (concurrently). Self-hosted agents provide a great degree of flexibility: they can be started in any cloud region or locally, and can be used when builds require specific software installed.
