Junie License can become inactive if the user does not accept the updated Terms of Service for AI Assistant or related AI services. As a result, the «Failed to fetch license» error will be shown. To fix this issue, please follow these steps:
-
Make sure to accept the updated Terms of Service for AI Assistant or related AI services.
- Open a web browser and go to your JetBrains account page: https://account.jetbrains.com
- Log in with the account associated with your IDE license.
- You should see a notification or a pop-up asking you to review and accept the updated Terms of Service for AI Assistant or related AI services. Please find and accept this agreement.
-
After accepting the terms online, you have to force the IDE to refresh its license status to clear the "declined" state.
- In your IDE, go to Help > Register....
- Log out of your JetBrains account.
- Restart the IDE using File > Invalidate Caches... and click Invalidate and Restart. This ensures all old license states are cleared.
- Once the IDE restarts, log back into your JetBrains account.
After completing these steps, the license check will succeed, and you will be able to use Junie and view your license information.
