What are the key differences?
- Purchasable Quota cannot be used without an AI subscription
- Quota from the AI subscription plan is used first
- Purchasable Quota stays valid for 12 months, AI subscription plan resets every month

How much usage do I get from JetBrains AI plans?
JetBrains AI Pro and JetBrains AI Ultimate plans include different amounts of AI credit — 10 and 35 AI credits, respectively.
- AI Ultimate provides approximately 234 requests to Junie per month.
- AI Pro provides approximately 67 requests to Junie per month.
We recommend JetBrains AI Ultimate for regular Junie use, and JetBrains AI Pro for trial, occasional, or rare use. These estimates are based on the GPT-5 model using the regular Code / Ask mode in Junie. Please note that they are not guaranteed and may vary depending on the model you select and the complexity of the tasks. Consumption of AI credits will likely be higher when using other models or the "Think more" mode. Additionally, credit usage increases when you make more than ~5 follow-ups to a single prompt, due to factors such as expanded context exploration. How to see my quota?
- To see how much of the purchased quota you have left, please visit your account settings webpage.
- At the moment, in the progress bar inside the IDE, both purchased and AI Subscription quotas are shown together, without any separation.

Representation of the quota limit
Your quota limit is calculated based on your AI quota plan plus purchased quota. Each month of the subscription quota is reset and the quota limit is recalculated.
Example:
- User of AI Ultimate license has 35 quota units. If they spend all their quota, then buy 10 more quota units, their quota will be shown as 10/45. The new limit includes both purchased and AI Ultimate quotas
(10 + 35 = 45).- User then spends 5 of the purchased quota units. After the monthly quota reset, their quota will be shown as 40/40. The new limit includes purchased quota units left on the account and AI Ultimate quota
(5 + 35 = 40).
