Opened a Java project in VS Code but nothing happens: Restricted Mode blocks the extension

Question

Have installed the Java and Kotlin by IntelliJ IDEA extension, but after opening a Java Gradle project, nothing happens.

Usually, this is because VS Code loads a new folder by default in Restricted Mode. This mode tries to prevent automatic code execution by disabling or limiting the operation of several VS Code features: AI agents, terminal, tasks, debugging, workspace settings, and extensions. So in this case, the extension will not work.

Click on the Manage link on the top banner, then click on the **Trust **button; then the extension will be enabled and loaded.
