Question
Just found that the Java and Kotlin by IntelliJ IDEA extension consumed a lot of space after opening several projects on my hard drive. How to free up this space?
Answer
First, please locate the path of the workspace, the path can be found in the log output console: [Info] Log file: /Users/<USERNAME>/Library/Application Support/Code/User/workspaceStorage/<WORKSPACE_ID>/JetBrains.intellij/system/log/intellij-server.log
Then quit VS Code, navigate to the directory, and delete all files within it.
These folder paths are listed here:
Windows:
C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Code\User\workspaceStorage\****uuid_code*****\JetBrains.intellij-server
macOS:
/Users/username/Library/Application Support/Code/User/workspaceStorage/****uuid_code*****/JetBrains.intellij-server
Linux:
/home/username/.config/Code/User/workspaceStorage/****uuid_code*****/JetBrains.intellij-server/
